WVU Law Open House

WVU Law's Open House (aka Experience WVU Law Day) is for anyone interested in pursuing a legal education. Sessions focus on the application process, academic offerings, and career options. Participants can also sit in on a class, tour the WVU Law building, learn more about financial aid, and meet current students. Registration is free and lunch is provided.

This event is designed for diverse students and supporters of diversity and inclusion. You will hear from current students, alumni, faculty and administration about WVU Law prepares students of diversity for success in law school and in their careers. Lunch will be provided. We define diversity in the broadest sense to include, but not limited to, socio-economic background, LGBTQ+, first-generation college student, military, non-traditional, and underrepresented racial and ethnic groups.

Info Sessions are small group, informal presentations for prospective students to learn about WVU Law, the admissions process, and tour the College of Law building. Questions are encouraged from attendees throughout the session. Schedule permitting, some Info Sessions will include an optional class visit. Info Sessions are held periodically throughout the semester. Select your preferred date on the registration form.

Session will be followed by a Legislative Regulation class. 
- Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 12:30 p.m.
Session will be followed by a Constitutional Law class. 
- Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at time TBA
Session will include the opportunity to watch the West Virginia Supreme court in action in Lugar Courtroom. Seating is limited, so please RSVP. 
- Monday, April 6, 2020 at 12:30 p.m.
Session will not be followed by a class.

Individual Visits

**Individual Visits have been postponed in compliance with  WVU's COVID-19 response. Please stay tuned for more information.**

WVU Law welcomes individual visits during the week. Visits can be scheduled to start at any time between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Prospective students have the option to meet one-on-one with an admissions team member, tour the College of Law, and sit in on a law school class (schedule permitting). 

Visit requests should be made no later than three business days before the requested date. While we will try our best to accommodate all requests, we cannot guarantee availability if you attempt to schedule a visit with less than three days of notice. 

Note: individual visits are not available during West Virginia University closures.
