Note: The Loan Processing Fee is applied each time a student's loan is distributed. If it is a PLUS Loan, the fee is 4.264% of amount borrowed.
Note to Non-Residents: Establishing West Virginia residency while enrolled in law school is very challenging. Read the WVU policy. If you have any questions, please reference WVU’s Residency Reclassification page and/or contact WVU’s Residency Officer (contact information can be found at the bottom of the Residency Reclassification page).
- Living expenses—Approximately $1,330 per month for 9 months. Information is obtained from data compiled through a cost of attendance survey conducted each year for graduate and professional students.
- Computer purchase—An additional allowance of $1,500 is included in first year students’ cost of attendance for the purchase of a computer. This is a one-time expense.
- An adjustment can be requested by the student for childcare and study abroad expenses with supporting documentation.
